上海摩登 SHANGHAI MODERN -Chinese Contemporary Art Exhibition-
We are happy to announce our exhibition “SHANGHAI MODERN”, feature
ring 8 contemporary Chinese artists active in Shanghai.
Since our exhibition “Yukino hana” with 11 artists from Hokkaido held in June, 2009 in Shanghai, we have been promoting to develop closer ties between China and Hokkaido with Contemporary art, and tried to create new values in various angles, in each region.
So the exhibition this time to be held in Sapporo, Hokkaido will be the first ever introducing contemporary Chinese art in a big scale.
Many of the artists participating were born in 60’s, and lived along with the development of China. We will be happy if visitors can share the excitement expressed by these Chinese art, and also the energy that Shanghai brings, the city just ready for Shanghai exposition.
Opening Reception: 2010/02/06 18:00 – 21:00
*Artists will attend reception from Shanghai.
