“眼力 ME-JIKARA” SHINJI SHISHIKURA Solo Exhibition
Since 2000, Shinji Shishikura has had performance and exhibitions used BUCKETS with the theme of the “Evolution of Everyday Art” all over the wold. As the same project, he had “眼力 ME-JIKARA” series exhibition in BEAMS(Japan) 2003, and this is the first show in mainland China.
Original meaning of “眼力 ME-JIKARA” is “The power of eyes”. At this exhibition, he exhibit new artworks in the mortified of “eye (眼)” which is the most important organ in five senses for humans communication. As an article for everyday use, he uses buckets lid instead of canvas. Convert model’s images into colors and paint on buckets lid. Also run previous performance video in the gallery.
Live dance performance with the concept of “眼力 ME-JIKARA” will be shown at the opening reception.
