flutter – 長沢郁美 solo exhibition
Office339 is pleased announced Ikumi Nagasawa’s “flutter” for the first time solo exhibition in two years in Shanghai.
Since 2007 Tokyo based artist Ikumi Nagasawa is keep showing her painting actively in Tokyo and Shanghai. Recent years she spread her activity in Switzerland and Hong Kong, etc. Her paintings, lovely but also have sense of sorrow or loneliness motif on canvas depict contemporary young generation, are evaluated widely.
As Office339 AIR Program (Artist In Residence), she came to Shanghai in July. During the residence program, she has interacted with local people and artists through several events such as Club339 (one night club event in her studio). She is creating her biggest ever painting “flutter 2″(250 x 500 cm) which she cannot realize in Japan.
In this exhibition, we will exhibit huge painting flutter2 and 20 latest works.
We are pleased to invite you to the opening at 5 pm on August 28th.
