Biography
Born in Hokuto, Hokkaido, Japan in 1978
Lives and works in Sapporo, Japan
The resource of Mikio Taka’s creativity is his extraordinary sensitivity towards everyday objects. The great purity of his spirit directly inspires the viewer’s imagination. He keeps trying to create artworks with complex techniques of mixed media paintings, collages and drawings, etc., which he has acquired through his practical experiments. Awarded the Montblanc Young Artists World Patronage by the Montblanc Cultural Foundation, Germany, and stayed and worked at Germany by a grant from the Ministry of Culture of the City of Hamburg. Participated in many exhibitions at home and abroad.
