Biography
Born in Moseushi, Hokkaido, Japan in 1974
Lives and works in Sapporo, Japan
Kiyoshi Takahashi’s “hybrid art” is an attempt to integrate language and vision. He has extensive interests in the origin of language and art of calligraphy. Japanese language and cartoon, both of which are symbols of Japanese culture, comprise his identity. He represents overwhelming scale of installation of objects in the forms of words and symbols, employing a method of cartoon.
